![]() ![]() ![]() Also of note are the largest machines with human names like Rosa and Natasha. This trailer is mostly combat-focused, so new plot developments aren't really present, though the two dancing robots are potentially relevant. Honestly, it seems like they probably should have sent more than one guy. The player controls a KGB agent known only as P-3 who has been sent to clean up the mess created at a remote scientific facility. We can disagree, but at least not contribute any more bad blood between us.What's Atomic Heart even about? Beyond the basic premise, plot details are scarce. In any event, this conversation won't really go anywhere productive on here, so I'll make my peace and avoid commenting further. That doesn't mean I hold all people responsible caught up in the heinous power plays of those who hold the reigns of power though. To be honest, while I have gone to demonstrations opposing the war in Ukraine, I am personally much more committed to activism opposing climate wrecking corporations and those driving ecological destruction, but support a whole range of other stuff. I am very sympathetic to your friends in Kharkiv, and think the Russian invasion is utterly criminal. ![]() Self righteousness says more about the person than the cause to be honest. Self reflexivity is extremely important and needed more than ever. We do have to choose our causes, but the awareness of some of the arbitrariness of our choices is probably even more important than the choices themselves. I don't agree with your rational, but your final sentence resonates a lot more. I don't want my money in Russia, you do whatever your conscience allows you to do. I choose my causes, I've taken a liking to this one. I'm an inconsistent hypocrite that refuses to be consistently amoral. I can't buy every single game, I'm certainly not buying this one just yet.ģ) My reasons not to want to buy this game are extremely legit, so sarcastic drive-bys about how the devs themselves didn't invade Ukraine are out of place. My friends in Kharkiv weren't at war with anyone when Russians came flooding in overnight.Ģ) I don't care if the devs are complicit or no, I wish them the best - my whole point is I don't want no part of my meager salary entering the Russian war coffers however indirectly. I mean I suppose I could understand it if you are Ukrainian, because there is a different level of trauma there.ġ) Fuck all of these whataboutisms - they don't change a single fact and these comparisons are obnoxious, Russia is not a state waging war, it's an invading state committing international crime after international crime. If that was the case, what about all the people in Myanmar living under dictatorship but still having to pay taxes? Or Thailand? Or Egypt for that matter? Or the US even, which still hasn't come to terms in any meaningful sense of its genocide of indigenous people? Better to at least target those you know are pro-active supporters, than just a general populace. Paying taxes doesn't make you complicit in a regimes atrocities. Just being killing more non-white people over the last few decades. Personally, at least in foreign policy terms, I think we are as fucked up as Russia. Plus we are a huge arms dealer, and exploiter of the resources of developing countries. Seems a strange criterion? Would you apply the same principal to other states at war or when they were at war? Such as the US or the UK? I mean being from the UK, it feels we have been pretty solidly involved in some war or another over the three decades I've been alive. ![]()
